How It Works The rules are simple: Every time you finish a can or bottle of your favorite beverage, use one of the included Gimme Pole stretch tape strips to connect it to the next one. Keep stacking as you go and build your own custom Gimme Pole during the round. The more beverages you finish, the longer your pole gets — and the longer your “gimme” putts become. Finish five 12 oz cans by Hole #3? That’s an automatic 2-foot gimme. Add another five by the turn? Now you’re looking at a 4-foot gimme on the back nine. Just imagine the possibilities. Designed for the Course The Gimme Pole Kit works with: Aluminum cans Plastic water bottles Plastic sports drink bottles It's easy to build a Gimme Pole. Connecting cans is easy since the tops and bottoms naturally fit together. For plastic water and sports drink bottles, simply connect: Bottom-to-bottom, or Top-to-top The included stretch tape strips make every connection quick, secure, and surprisingly sturdy. - What is a Gimme Pole? It's a "pole" a golfer creates by attaching cans or bottles together while playing a round of golf. Every time you finish a can or bottle of your favorite beverage, connect them using our stretchy tape strips. The more you drink, the more your Gimme Pole grows.
- What's a Gimme? It's a short putt, usually less than 12", that your golf playing partner says you don't have to actually putt. Why would I use a Gimme Pole? For fun! When on the green, if your Gimme Pole is longer than your putt, it’s a gimme. If you've created a seven can Gimme Pole, that's a nearly a 3-foot "gimme" that you dont have to put.
- How does a Gimme Pole work? Let's say you finish five cans of your favorite adult beverage by Hole #3? When all five cans are connected, that’s an automatic 2-foot gimme. If you add another five cans by hole 10, now you’re looking at a 4-foot gimme for the back nine. No more three-putts.
- Who would make a Gimme Pole? Mostly guys who play golf and like to have fun are probablly the biggest users. If they also like to have an adult beverage or two (or three or four or five) when they play with their buds, this is a fun game to play.
- Does it work on "non-adult" beverages? Absolutely. If you'd rather build your Gimme Pole with emtpy bottles of water or sports drinks, the stretchy tapestrips make it easy. Just remember to attach a "top to a top" and a "bottom to a bottom".
- What comes in the package? Each pack includes 10, white, stretchy tapestrips that are 2" x 10". Each tapestrip expands and stretches to over 14".
